News round

news round is a BBC children news program-me. it was one of the first television news magazine which is running from 4 April 1972. it was one of the worlds first television news magazines aimed specifically at children.The program-me is aimed at 6 to 12 year-old. it was created by Edward Barnes & John Craven.

presenters

the presenter in news round is overall is young and attractive which then meet the target audience there are targeting. there are wearing a casual clothes( women wears a clothes dress, skirt, short etc.) ( man wear clothes such as cardigan jeans) which indicate that this news program-me is informal unlike to other news program-me such as BBC news, channel 4 news etc.they communicate with audience in a enthusiasm and entertaining way by talking informally with a easy vocabulary. therefore the audience there are targeting can understand the content and have a interest towards it.
unlike to other formal program-me there are standing and making the  body language to make the younger audience understand about what they are talking about and keep them on screen and also there are using iPad to support them so it will differentiate the normal boring news. target audience

news-round target the audience who is aged from 6 to 12 year old with both gender and ethnicity. they target this age group as they are using a language which is understandable for younger audience and they are not particularly analyzing each news into that much detail therefore this age group can understand easily and get the information straight away in its simplest form.

language

the language used at news-round is informal as they use simple words to describe the quick news.unlike to the news that speak formally and use a wide range of complex words such as in BBC news, sky news.

studio

the studio in news round is colorful, modern, bright and attractive as they use a bright color such as purple, green, neon yellow. this will attract the target market as young generation seems to like the color of brightness in general than a older generation would.

BBC main presenter is Carrie Gracie and Simon McCoy who is presenting news at weekdays from 8;30-11:00. there are dressed formally with suit and tie(men)and blazer and skirt(women) who are old and professional as they are targeting a adults or older generation as a target audience. As it is a formal news program-me they are communicating the language using wide range of vocabulary and talking in a formal way with a understandable communicative form.

studio

the studio in BBC news is modern, simple, bright so they will attract the audience instead of showing a audience with a boring blunt studio with no color or design to it. the colour in studio is red, white, black which is then representing the simple concept with a less colorful texture in it. As there are targeting the older age group the studio hasn't be colorful and bold.

Language

the language used in this news program-me is formal and professional with a wider range of vocabulary which is mainly aimed at audience who has English as a first language. they are getting into detail for each story so older audience can get more information for each the news they report.

Proposal Outline:

Title
My title of the programme is called “EYE WATCHER”. The reason why I have chosen this is because I wanted my program me to be up to date with lots of story combine together and would be able to give my audience up to date and latest news to give them an idea of what is going outside world beside them. I think this title will make my audience want to watch as it says "EYE WATCHER" this then make them interested as it look deep inside the content with a full detailed which young audience is interested about.
As I have looked at different exciting news programme with a similar target audience they was a news called "news round" which is aimed at teen brand or a primary school kids. Therefore as I have realise they have use a techniques to keep the audience eye on the news instead of walking away from the use of difficult content such as cover fewer of the hard political stories that make it into the Wikipedia summaries .  Whereas my selling point is to give a most simplistic view for them in order to take it straight away into their mind so it will give them a big impact.

Ownership
My name of the production company is called "time 2 run" as it gives the motivation of running a news programme. The type of program-me we usually make is a factual news programme with lots of facts and statistics to back up the ideas and support the programme with a truly statement information. My company is trustworthy as it is ACCURATE, PRECISE, and PUNCTUAL.
Genre:
This program-me will appeal to my target audience as it inform the news in a slightly informal way included slang word, therefore teenager are more capable of understanding it then a language with a wide range of vocabulary with a exact grammar. My programme would change slightly the convention as it aimed at young audience aged under 18. Therefore this would be for example, not having a proper suit style uniform to present instead the presenter would wear the cloth like jeans and a top cardigans in a set instead of using a proper big studio with lots of visual image and a colorful background. This will differ the convention as it is not in a formal style in anyway.

Target Audience:
My target audience for my programme would be 18 or under with no gender specifically mainly in UK. my programme will appeal to my target audience as they are lot of content where aged 12 can enjoy as they use an informal language and keep it simple as possible in order for them to understand whereas aged 18 year old can enjoy such as our presenter present the news in a way in more detailed and look at the news specifically so they can understand what is going on. I would target my audience by using a social media such as twitter to spread our trends and the latest news we have for them. Also by using a hashtag will help the trends to spread across the region.

Competitors
My competitor is news round and BBC news. This is my competitor because, they have a similar convention to my programme in terms of style and genre.

Costs
My presenter is Dana ward who would be paid £30,000. The studio would cost £2,000 in central London.

 Outline:
I will be filming my film in central London. This is because as it is in the capital city most of the people are aware of the situation going on in Israel Palestine therefore, I can interview the residents on how they feel about the conflict by their perspectives (street approaching). The angle shot that I will be filming is mostly close up so the programme can show more intimated shot. my programme would be settled in a similar set as news round operate. This is because we both aim the younger audience therefore it have to be colourful and bright so it is more attractive for this age group to see. So this will be my first studio for my first news programme. My studio in central London is called quick super studio which is well known to the public. My news programme will be not following the typical news convention as they have different convention such as presenters, target audience, genre description.

The type of presenter I have for my programme would be a story teller. Who speaks with a feelings and rhythm? they can win my target  audience easily as it give them powerful and emotive words to make them emphasis, encounter the news they have watched. I will have a presenter called Dana Ward. she is a presenting the celebrity news called "clever news" she is a good presenter and will appeal to my target audience as she make the news outstanding, exciting then it would normally be and as a audience i enjoy watching.
